We replace batteries in gas and diesel Ram 1500s — not the eTorque mild-hybrid's separate 48-volt battery (we replace the regular 12-volt one) or the electric Ram 1500 REV.

2009–2018 Ram 1500
Where it is: Under the hood, driver's-side front corner. The Ram 1500 Classic (sold 2019–2024) is this same truck.
2019–present Ram 1500
Where it is: Under the hood, driver's side. Trucks with auto start-stop use an AGM battery. eTorque trucks also have a 48-volt battery behind the rear seat — that one isn't part of a 12-volt battery swap.
How it works
Book online and pay the service fee — your card is saved. We head to your 1500, test the old battery, take it to the closest O'Reilly for the core exchange and buy the right new one at the store's walk-in price. Back at your car we charge the battery plus sales tax to your saved card, install it, test the charging system and email your receipt. Installation labor is covered for 90 days.

The catalog lists regular batteries for every Ram 1500 we cover; an AGM is an upgrade some owners choose for short trips and Oklahoma heat. For 2009–2018, 2019–present, regular and AGM both fit — we'll match what your 1500 came with unless you ask for the upgrade.
