Booking terms.
The short version: you pay the service fee when you book, your card is saved, and the battery plus anything found on site is charged to it once we're back with your battery — before we install it. Here's the whole thing in plain English.
Who we are
OKC Battery is a mobile car battery replacement service in the Oklahoma City metro, owned and operated by OKC Mobile Auto. We come to your vehicle — we don't have a shop for customers to visit. These terms apply to every booking made on okcbattery.com.
What you pay when you book
When you book, you pay the service fee shown at checkout — the same-day fee for a job today, or the scheduled fee for tomorrow or later. Whether a job counts as same-day is based on the date in Oklahoma, not the button you press.
Your card is saved securely with our payment processor, Stripe, so we can charge the rest once we have your new battery. We never see or store your full card number.
What's charged when we're back with your battery
Here's how a job runs: the technician removes your old battery, takes it to the parts store for the core exchange, buys your new one, and brings it back. Before installing it, we charge the balance below to your saved card, and we install as soon as that payment clears. If the card is declined, we email you a secure payment link so you can pay with a different card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — it goes straight onto your booking.
The battery: we buy it at the O'Reilly Auto Parts store we choose for your job, at the store's walk-in shelf price plus that store's sales tax. Battery prices shown when you book are a live estimate; if the store's price changes or that battery isn't in stock, we confirm the new battery and price with you before we install it.
A battery cover, hold-down bar or bracket that has to be removed: $25, assessed by the technician on site. We'll tell you before we add it.
A fuel charge for addresses outside Oklahoma, Cleveland and Canadian counties, or when the battery has to come from a store well outside the area — figured from the actual extra distance and added to the final bill.
These go on your saved card as one charge, and we email you a receipt. By booking, you authorize OKC Battery to charge that card for these amounts for this booking.
If the battery isn't the problem
We replace batteries — we're not a diagnostic service. If the technician finds your battery is fine and something else is keeping the car from starting, you're not charged for a battery, but the service fee isn't refunded because the trip and the check were made.
Cancelling or changing a booking
Any cancellation has a $75 cancellation fee, whenever it happens — the day before, or while the technician is on the way. The rest of your service fee is refunded to your card.
If we arrive and can't reach the vehicle at the time and place you booked, and can't reach you by phone, it's a no-show and is handled the same way: $75 kept, the rest refunded.
To cancel or change a booking, call (405) 777-4978.
Arrival times
Same-day jobs are usually reached within 30 to 60 minutes of booking, give or take about 15 minutes for traffic. Wrecks, closed roads, weather, game days and other things outside our control can slow us down; arrival windows are our honest estimate, not a guarantee, and we're not responsible for losses caused by a delay.
Scheduled jobs are booked for a start time; the technician may arrive a little before or after it.
We work 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. After-hours or overnight help is only by approved request, isn't guaranteed, and is quoted separately.
Vehicles we work on
Gas and diesel cars, trucks, SUVs and vans. We don't service hybrid or electric vehicle batteries. The technician can decline a job if the vehicle or location isn't safe to work on — for example, in active traffic — and the service fee is then refunded.
Warranty
Our installation labor is warrantied for 90 days. The battery itself carries its manufacturer's warranty through the store it was bought from; we'll help you with a warranty claim on a battery we installed.
The labor warranty doesn't cover problems unrelated to the battery installation, damage from accidents or misuse, or electrical problems elsewhere in the vehicle.
Your old battery
We take your old battery with us and make sure it's recycled. There's no charge for that.
Our responsibility
We take care with every vehicle. Our responsibility is limited to the battery replacement we performed. We're not responsible for pre-existing conditions, loss of radio or computer settings that need a code or relearn, or problems we weren't told about before the job.
Disputes and questions
If something isn't right, call us first at (405) 777-4978 — we'd rather fix it than argue about it. These terms are governed by Oklahoma law.
