By O'Reilly's catalog, the Mercury Mountaineer takes — 2002–2010: Group 65 (650–850 CCA). Engines can differ, so we confirm the exact battery for your Mountaineer when you book, and you see the price before we install it.
The catalog lists regular batteries for every Mercury Mountaineer we cover; an AGM is an upgrade some owners choose for short trips and Oklahoma heat. For 2002–2010, regular and AGM both fit — we'll match what your Mountaineer came with unless you ask for the upgrade.
